Abbott Cell Dyn 1800 – Hematology Analyzer

The CELL-DYN® 1800 is a 3-part differential analyzer based on the proven technology used since the founding of the CELL-DYN® line. Offering 18 parameters and extensive QC and data management capabilities, the CELL-DYN®1800 meets the needs to today's growing labs. The CELL-DYN® 1800 is smaller than its predecessors and fits under standard physician office laboratory cabinets. The system utilizes impedance resistance to measure human cells while incorporating the patented von Behrens plate to virtually eliminate coincidence counts from each sample.

This analyzer with 150 open and 250 closed options has standard features such as closed tube sampling, RS 232 Interface, hydrodynamic focusing Leukoprotective reagent, 5 part differential, histograms and scatterplots.

The instrument employs dual technologies upon request to provide the basis for a 5-Part WBC Differential. CELL-DYN's patented Multi-Angle Polarized Scatter Separation (M.A.P.S.S.) technology provides the primary white blood cell count, all differential information, and a nuclear optical count that is used to provide additional information in the presence of fragile lymphocytes and hypotonically resistant red blood cells. The system also provides optical platelet and RBC analysis along with extended WBC and platelet linearity.

The CELL-DYN® 3200 is a multi-parameter automated hematology analyzer designed for in vitro diagnostic use in clinical laboratories. The analyzer uses optical light scatter for WBC, RBC, PLT and Reticulocyte analysis to meet the needs of medium volume laboratories. The instrument offers simple operation, accurate 5 part WBC differential analysis, automated sample handling and reliability. The system combines MAPSS (Multi-Angle, Polarized Scatter Separation) technology with flow cytometry to achieve a high level of accuracy and precision.
